A passenger on a SWISS Air flight has been arrested after he was caught performing an inappropriate act in front of shocked passengers.
The incident occurred during Flight LX918, which was traveling from Zurich to Dresden, Germany, on Monday morning according to News 18’s report.
The 33-year-old man, identified only as a German national, allegedly engaged in the act of masturbation during the 73-minute flight.
According to reports, a fellow passenger became concerned and notified the cabin crew after noticing the man’s behavior halfway through the flight.
The alarmed passenger then requested to be moved to another seat, prompting the flight attendants to intervene. The crew issued a warning to the man, who reportedly stopped once confronted. However, the situation didn’t end there.

Upon landing in Dresden, federal police arrested the man. During questioning, he admitted to his actions but claimed he did not realize he had done anything wrong.
He explained that he didn’t expose his genitals, which he believed made his behavior acceptable. Despite his claim, the authorities have charged him with causing a public nuisance.
A spokesperson for SWISS Air in a statement to Blick, also acknowledged the situation, confirming that the crew had intervened and warned the passenger after the inappropriate behavior was reported. “A passenger engaged in intimate acts during the flight, whereupon the crew issued a warning.” After landing, the passenger was handed over to the relevant authorities.”
The Dresden Federal Police issued a statement confirming the unusual incident, which they said “exceeded the bounds of good behavior.”
The arrest raises worries about passengers’ behavior on planes, emphasizing the need of remaining respectful and proper when traveling. An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
