Pele: Brazilian Soccer Legend Responding Well To Treatment, Hospital Says

Brazil soccer legend, Pele is doing well as he is currently responding to treatment in his battle with colon cancer according to the hospital he is admitted into.

Albert Einstein hospital have announced on Saturday, December 3, 2022 that the football player who was not okay about 24 hours ago is now responding well to treatment for a respiratory infection and his health condition has not worsened.

According to reports, the soccer legend who is born with his legal name Edson Arantes do Nascimento, aged 82 years has been in the hospital since Tuesday, November 29th.

The Albert Einstein hospital said Friday that Pelé is getting antibiotics to treat an infection at the same time he undergoes chemotherapy against cancer.

This comes a year later after had a colon tumor removed in September 2021.

Pele also reacting in confirming his state, took to his Instagram account and released a statement where ha assured the world he is doing very fine and also thanked the medical team taking care of his health problem.

“I’m strong, with a lot of hope and I follow my treatment as usual. I want to thank the entire medical and nursing team for all the care I have received.

“I have a lot of faith in God and every message of love I receive from you all over the world keeps me full of energy. And watch Brazil in the World Cup, too.” Pelé said in a statement posted on Instagram.
