Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, and his wife Cristina Serra have reportedly separated after three decades of being together.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, the couple, who had been together since 1994, decided to part ways in December, following over five years of living apart.
Serra, a Brazilian journalist and writer, moved back to Barcelona with their youngest daughter, Valentina, 17, while Guardiola remained in Manchester to continue his high-profile career.
Despite the physical distance, the couple had maintained an amicable relationship, often seen together in public events.
Guardiola, 53, and Serra were married in a small ceremony near Barcelona in 2014, and have two other children together: Maria, 24, and Marius, 22.

Their marriage had appeared stable over the years, even though they lived in different cities due to Guardiola’s football commitments.
While the couple’s decision to separate has come as a surprise to many, sources close to the family assure that their relationship remains “cordial, stable, and friendly.”
The split has been kept relatively private, with only close friends and family informed of the situation.
Reports suggest that both Guardiola and Serra are keen to maintain their privacy and have asked those around them not to share further details.
The news of their separation comes at a time when Guardiola’s career at Manchester City continues to thrive, with the coach securing multiple trophies and earning praise for his tactical brilliance.
Despite their personal changes, both Guardiola and Serra appear committed to moving forward in a positive and respectful manner.
