The controversy surrounding the Okoye brothers has deepened as Paul Okoye publicly accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye, of being responsible for their elder brother Jude Okoye’s legal troubles. The claims have however been denied by Peter’s management.
Their elder brother, Jude is currently facing a legal battle over an alleged N1.38 billion fraud case after being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following an order from the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, pending his bail hearing in March.
During a media interview on Friday, Paul pointed fingers at Peter, claiming he was behind the legal woes Jude is facing. He stated:
“It is not about supporting him because I know the truth. The truth is that journalists are making Jude look like a fraud. But let’s be real—Peter is the one putting Jude in this mess. Peter is the reason he is in prison, and I am here to help him out.”
Peter Okoye’s Team Refutes Claims
In response to these allegations, Peter Okoye’s manager, Emem Kush, denied any involvement in Jude’s legal case. Kush made it clear that Peter had nothing to do with the ongoing EFCC investigation.
“I don’t see how Peter Okoye is connected to this case. The EFCC is handling the investigation based on their findings, and Jude is the one involved. Peter did not drag anyone to the EFCC,” Emem Kush stated.

He further emphasized that the allegations should not be twisted to create unnecessary conflicts. He added, “The petition was against a company that had been receiving funds on Jude’s behalf. Peter knew nothing about it, so let’s not mix up facts.”
When asked if there were any conditions related to the case, Kush redirected inquiries to the EFCC, stating, “The EFCC received the case and conducted their investigation. It’s best to speak to them for accurate details.”

The Okoye brothers, formerly known as P-Square, have had a history of disputes dating back to 2015. The tension between them led to their breakup in 2017, after which they pursued solo careers. However, they reconciled in 2022, releasing songs like Jaiye and Find Somebody and performing together.
Despite their reunion, tensions flared again in August 2024 when Paul Okoye revealed in an interview with City FM that the group had split once more. He accused Peter of filing a complaint with the EFCC against him and Jude, which allegedly led to their investigation.
Peter, however, denied these claims, explaining that his complaint was about a personal betrayal he experienced involving Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
