According to legal documents obtained by TMZ on March 3rd, Pooh Shiesty have been ordered to pay restitution for allegedly shooting and injuring two men in 2020 alongsid two co-defendants.
The rapper will have to pay $156,585, some of which will be deducted from his earnings while in prison.
This news comes after prosecutors requested that Shiesty and his co-defendants pay the victims a total of $1,149,828.43, based on medical reports.
Shiesty’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, contested the figure, stating that the victims were armed and had arrived to sell drugs to Shiesty and his friends.
He referred to the restitution request as a “judicial shakedown” during a recent court hearing and compared the situation to Tony Montana asking the Colombians to pay him for his injuries.
Pooh Shiesty Arrested
In 2020, Pooh Shiesty was arrested for his alleged involvement in a shootout that injured two individuals in a parking lot in the Miami area.
Surveillance footage from the scene showed Pooh sitting in a McLaren with what appeared to be an assault rifle.
He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence and was sentenced to 63 months in prison in April 2021.
Following his release, he will be required to undergo three years of supervised release and participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program.
