Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in to the police after being declared wanted by authorities in Ogun State.
Portable was declared wanted on February 18, 2025, following allegations that he and nine of his associates assaulted and obstructed officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The Ogun State Police Command subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest, with an official wanted poster circulating across social media.
Amid public outcry and calls for his arrest, the singer pleaded for leniency from Nigerians and the Ogun State Government.
However, in compliance with the police directive, he surrendered himself on Tuesday, February 19, 2025, at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
Authorities have confirmed that Portable is currently being transported to Ogun State, where he will be handed over to the police for further investigation and possible legal proceedings.
