Premier League Player and Manager for the Month of May Revealed

Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp has been named Premier League manager of the month for May.

Klopp receives the prize after overseeing five straight victories, securing Champions League football and a third-place finish on the final day.

The 53-year-old has now won nine Barclays monthly awards, moving level with Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.

Newcastle midfielder Joe Willock has been named Premier League player of the month for May.

Willock – who arrived on loan from Arsenal in the January transfer window – scored in each of the club’s four matches in May.

Having also been prolific in April, the 21-year-old became only the second Newcastle player after Alan Shearer to score in seven successive Premier League appearances.

Willock is the first Magpies’ player to claim the award since goalkeeper Tim Krul in November 2013.
