Akufo-Addo leads Mahama

The Electoral Commission (EC) of the Republic of Ghana has released certified presidential election results coming from 14 regions.

Earlier in our previous update, we shared with you the results made known to the public by the Electoral Commission as they served us with results from seven (7) regions, now 7 new regions have been added bringing the number of regions certified to 14.

The fourteen (14) results out of a total of sixteen (16) regions that have been verified now are The 14 regions where the results have been certified and released by the EC are Volta, North East, Central, Ahafo, Upper West, Oti, Bono, Ashanti, Western, Upper East, Western North, Bono East, Eastern and Savannah Regions.

The remaining two (2) regions that are yet to be added in other for EC to go ahead and declare the winner of December 7, 2020, elections are; Greater Accra and Northern.

In the previous post which had results from 7 regions saw NDC’s John Dramani Mahama taking the lead as he led with 1,997,450 votes while NPP’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had 1,500,310 votes.

In the addition of the 4 new regions, the situation has changed as Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP now leads the chart with 5,067,445 votes while John Dramani Mahama of the NDC polled a total of 4,410,143 votes respectively with a difference of 657,302 votes.
