Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has revealed that he battled amnesia prior to requiring two life-saving brain surgery.

Recently, the actor slumped in the restroom, putting his life in danger and requiring Benedict Johnson and Labista, two of his coworkers, to rush to his rescue.

In an interview with Channels TV, Orji recounted the experience, saying that he went into a five and a half-hour coma before help arrived.

“After passing out, all I can say is that I’m only alive today by God’s grace. He recalled, “I was out for about five and a half hours before help came.”

Orji thanked Johnson and Labista for getting him from the second story down to the ground floor and for their quick arrival at the National Hospital.

Orji had two brain surgeries after the tragedy, the first one happening on January 1.

But scans a month later showed that there was still a blood clot, requiring another surgery.

Orji acknowledged that she suffered from memory loss prior to the procedures, saying, “I couldn’t recognise people before the surgery.” We spoke, but I couldn’t recall any of the people who had visited me in the hospital; I wasn’t even aware that they had arrived. My spouse informed me of the attendees.

Surprisingly, Orji’s memories came back quickly following the operations. “What day are we on today?’ was the first thing I asked just after the surgery.

I started wishing everyone a happy new year after my wife claimed it was New Year’s Day. He revealed, “She stated that’s when she realised I was back.
