A prison officer has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after filming a sex act with a convicted burglar in his cell at HMP Wandsworth.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, was caught on video engaging in sexual activities with inmate Linton Weirich while wearing her full prison uniform.
The explicit footage, recorded by another prisoner, quickly circulated on social media, leading to an investigation.
The court heard that De Sousa Abreu had previously had sexual relations with Weirich inside his cell before the viral video was filmed in July last year.
Authorities discovered additional footage on her body-worn camera, showing her giving oral sex to Weirich earlier on the same day the video was recorded.

During sentencing, Judge Martin Edmunds KC emphasized the serious repercussions of her actions, stating that they severely damaged the reputation of the prison service and undermined the authority of prison staff.
He noted that the video would likely circulate indefinitely, adding to the harm. “The level of harm is very high,” the judge said.
De Sousa Abreu, who had worked as a prison officer at the high-security facility, admitted to misconduct in a public office.
She was arrested after fleeing the country and was captured at Heathrow Airport while preparing to board a flight to Madrid.
Initially, she claimed that she had been forced to participate in the video under duress, but she later retracted the statement.

In court, it was revealed that De Sousa Abreu had a history of emotional struggles and had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and ADHD.
Prior to the scandal, she and her husband ran an OnlyFans account, sharing explicit content with subscribers. De Sousa Abreu had also appeared on Channel 4’s The Great Sex Experiment.
The incident has raised serious concerns about security and the treatment of female staff in male-dominated prisons.
