Professional surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton is urgently appealing for help following a tragic incident involving her 3-year-old nephew, Andrew.
The young boy was hospitalized after a drowning accident and is currently receiving medical attention in Oahu.
On October 12, Bethany took to Instagram to share the distressing news, posting a heartfelt message alongside a photo of Andrew with a surfboard. “HELP,” she wrote.
“My precious nephew was medivaced to Kapiolani in Oahu this morning after drowning last night. He still has a heartbeat and has fight in him.”
The 34-year-old mother of four expressed her deep concern for her nephew, emphasizing the importance of proper medical care for his survival.
“We are wrecked,” she said, urging anyone with information on how to support Andrew to come forward.
Bethany’s brother, Noah Hamilton, also spoke out about the situation on social media.

He revealed that Andrew was found unresponsive in a bathtub but had vital signs strong enough to be airlifted to a hospital.
“He’s a strong resilient kid and an amazing swimmer,” Noah wrote, asking for prayers for his nephew.
In response to the incident, the family has reached out to Dr. Paul Harch, a specialist in hyperbaric oxygen therapy known for treating patients with drowning injuries.
Bethany later provided an update on Instagram, requesting continued prayers and support for Andrew and their family during this challenging time.
