The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers has confirmed an increase in the price of sachet water products by 25%.
This was made known to the public via an official press statement written and signed by the National President of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers, Magnus Nunoo.
This new increment according to the association is due to the high cost in production from electricity, taxes as well as high import duties.
Pure Water New Price
According to the association, the price of iced sachet water (pure water) will now be sold at 40 pesewas.
While a bag of sachet water, 500ml which contains 30 pieces will now sell at GHC4.50 from retail trucks. But will be sold at GHC6 from Mini shops.
Bottled Water Price
According to the statement, It is recommended that the 500 ml iced bottled water (small size) which usually sold for GHC 1.00, will now be retailed at GHC1.50, and the 750ml or medium size iced bottled water which also sold at GHC 1.50 will be retailed at GHS2.00.
The 1.5L or large bottled water is to be retailed at GHC 3.50.
When Will This Be Effective.
According to the National President of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers, Magnus Nunoo. the new prices will be effective starting from Monday, December 27, 2021.
