Townflex Entertainment News – Playboi Carti was arrested in December on suspicion of choking his pregnant girlfriend.
The altercation occurred on December 20 in Fulton County, Georgia, following an argument over a paternity test, according to TMZ.
According to TMZ‘s report, the rapper was arrested nine days after the incident, which was on Dec. 29, 2022.

The charges against him are one count of aggravated assault and one count of hindering persons making an emergency telephone call. Carti was released a daily later. His surety bond totaled $100,000.
The alleged victim, his girlfriend who was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged incident, in December of 2022, told police when they arrived after the call that she had injuries on her neck, chest, and back when they arrived after being called.
In her interaction with law enforcement authorities, she indicated that a paternity test sparked an argument, which developed into a physical attack. She claimed that the rapper grabbed her neck till she couldn’t breathe.
She also told the police she’d been in a relationship with Playboi Carti for two years now.
A witness reportedly intervened and the victim told police she was able to escape to her car. The victim went on to claim Playboi Carti tried to pull her out of the car and covered her mouth when she tried to make an emergency call to 911. When police arrived on the scene, the woman had injuries to her chest, back and neck, consistent with her story.
Playboi Carti’s attorney, Brian Steel, revealed in a statement to XXL on his client’s arrest that “Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney‘s Office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”
