Cause Of Death Revealed: American rapper Rich Homie Quan, whose real name is Dequantes Devontay Lamar, tragically passed away due to an accidental drug overdose, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office in Georgia.
The 34-year-old artist’s death was caused by a combination of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, as well as promethazine.
Because Quan’s body showed no signs of trauma when discovered, his death has been ruled an accident.
In effect, his brother told police that he initially believed Quan was asleep on the kitchen floor and moved him to the couch, noting it was “very unusual” to see food still in his mouth.
Hours later, a woman noticed that Quan was cold and unresponsive, leading to a call to emergency services.

He gained fame through various hits like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” as well as “Type of Way,” which became so popular that other artists, including Jeezy and Meek Mill, featured on its remix.
