It’s true that the team has been keeping an eye on the Croatian defender for a while.

In the summer of 2021, RB Leipzig purchased his services for 18 million euros.

His market value has increased dramatically as a result of his 42 Bundesliga appearances and status as Croatia’s undisputed starter.

Real Madrid is aware that RB Leipzig is the defender’s stepping stone to greater things.

They are aware, however, that RB Leipzig have no need to sell, in contrast to Borussia Dortmund.

If Los Blancos decide to make a bid for the Croatian prospect, they will have Premier League clubs to contend with.

Gvardiol has already drawn interest from a number of English clubs, with Chelsea taking the lead.

Real Madrid may need to recruit a successor if Nacho Fernandez leaves in the summer, as his future is still up in the air.

The team has begun planning for the upcoming campaign.

The Croatian international is a favorite of Real Madrid, but no decision has been made.
