The former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, reportedly revealed his customary playlist earlier today.
Predictably, some of the best Nigerian musicians were included.
The first black president to serve in the White House published the songs that made up his top albums of the year on his Twitter account, which as was expected sparked a flurry of comments from other users.
Evidently, Barack Obama listed Burna Boy’s Last Last first, then Ayra Starr’s Rush and Rema’s Calm Down.
In light of this, Barack Obama highlighted the sentiment behind the post while requesting suggestions for additional songs to add.
“I always enjoy sharing my end-of-year music playlist with all of you — and this year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites. Are there any songs or artists I should check out?”

To that effect, Rema responded to the news by thanking Obama for giving him the respect he deserved, just like in 2019.
Interestingly enough, the singer of “Ginger Me” expressed similar sentiments to those he expressed in 2019 when his name appeared on the list.
”I feel the same way I did in 2019 when I saw my Name on this list, I’m very grateful. 🙏🏾❤️” Rema wrote.
