Cristiano Ronaldo after 12 years made a suprised turnaround to Manchester United in the summer after leaving the club, but the long-awaited reunion may not last for as long as most United fans hoped to see him winning trophies.

Red Devils are currently in a crisis as they sit two places and five points outside the top four ruling them out of the Premier League title race, leaving Cristiano Ronaldo concerned.

Manchester United poor displays and results could see them lose their talisman at the end of the season if they misse out on Champions League football in 2022/23 would likely see the Portuguese star push for another move.

Cristiano Ronaldo has saved the day with dramatic late goals on several occasions this season since his summer switch from Juventus relieving pressure mounting on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but United’s players are now turning on under-fire Solskjaer.

The Portuguese forward has scored nine goals in 12 games since his Old Trafford return but his heroics alone have not been enough to stop the Reds from losing six of their last 12 matches.

According to the Express, Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Man Utd at the end of the season if they do not qualify for the Champions League.

The Portuguese forward has an insatiable desire for silverware, both individual and collective, and is in no mood to remain at a club whose expectations and capabilities are not at the same level as his own.

Ronaldo, in a recent interview, made it clear that he did not return to the Premier League simply to see out the remaining years of his career.

“I said what I felt in that moment, that I’m here to win things,” he told Sky Sports, about his speech upon arriving at United in the summer.

Manchester United is a sign of winning things and I’m not here for holidays.

“I said to them I see huge potential in this team. They have very young players, players with potential, and I’m here to win and to help the team to build new stuff.

However, Bruno Fernandes is believed to have grown frustrated with the lack of any clear plan at Old Trafford and Ronaldo is reported to be shocked at how far standards have slipped at the club.

Some players are reported to be fed up after a series of poor performances that have seen them bullied by derby rivals with Liverpool thrashing them 5-0, followed by last Saturday’s loss to City rivals Manchester City.

Last month’s 5-0 by Liverpool was followed by Saturday’s 2-0 loss to crosstown rivals Manchester City
