Sadio Mané set to win African Player of the Year at 2022 CAF Awards

Information gathered by Townflex Sports has it that Senegal’s forward, Sadio Mane is set to be crowned as the winner of the CAF 2022 men’s player of the year awards.

Sadio Mane together with his national colleague and Chelsea’s Goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, as well as his former Liverpool clubmate, Egypt’s Mohamed Salah were named on the final three-man shortlist for the 2022 African Men’s Player of the Year award by CAF.

The awards is however scheduled to come off today, Thursday night, July 21 2022 in Morocco.

According to a post by an award-winning Ghanaian sports Journalist, Gary Al-Smith shared via his verified Twitter account, Mane has a better chance of winning the award.

Understanding from Gary’s Twitter post, Sadio Mane already has the highest number of votes ahead of Salah, and Mendy.

Gary Al-Smith wrote “Just in: Sadio Mané 🇸🇳 will be crowned Men’s African Player of the Year 2022 tonight in Morocco. Got the highest number of votes ahead of Mo Salah and Edouard Mendy #JoySports #CAFAwards2022”
