Samini, a Ghanaian singer of reggae and dancehall, has belittled the World Cup’s official theme song for Ghana.

Before the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, Highlife musician Akwaboah just released the music video for his Black Stars theme song, “Bring Back the Love.”

After the song’s release, some Ghanaians trashed the song, which quickly gained popularity on social media.

Dancehall musician Samini is one of the celebs who has expressed concern about the song’s caliber. He has labeled the song as being subpar.

Samini claimed on his Twitter page that the music that was made public was unsuitable to serve as the theme song for this year’s World Cup football game and that other artists might have done a better job.

“The new black starts song tho, do we have to learn it before the world cup? whoever chose it probably wrote it too. Eiiiii track na 3y3 ya saaa no! Hmmm. A few of us could have done a better job at that Chale anaa meeb)dam lol. but vim is still for the boys. Go Ghana”
