Samini To Sue Ghanaweb Over Wrong Caption Regarding Stonebwoy, Kaakie, Kofi Kinaata

Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall recording artiste, Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, better known as Samini is set to news publication company, Ghanaweb.

The multiple award-winning versatile artiste has threatened to sue and take legal actions on the online news portal over a wrong caption, misinterpretation of his statement on Angel FM during an interview with host, Ohemaa Woyeje.

According to a post published on Ghanaweb which was a story they copied from Angelonline it stated that Samini’s colleagues whom he mentored/natured Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, and Kaakie owe their success in music to him.

The dancehall recording artiste, Samini after coming across the news wasn’t that happy as he expressed his frustration towards the online news portal and have decided to go legal for misquoting his statement.

Samini took to his official Twitter account and made it known that he will be taken them on legally, according to him, he never said Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, and Kaakie owe their success in music to him but rather he said no A-List artiste has ever done what he has done when it comes to supporting the young ones.

He wrote;

Dear @TheGhanaWeb I’m highly disappointed in you for this foolish Caption. I said “ no A list artist has done what I’ve done when it comes to supporting the young ones and the I can wait for anyone to show me another act like me “ I’ll sue you for this caption. Prepare. Thanks

Ghanaweb has however after seeing the lawsuit threats from Samini have decided to make some corrections with the right quotes.

In other news, the Accra Circuit Court has Adjourned Shatta Wale, Medikal Case To January 2022.

The Accra Circuit Court has on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, adjourned the case involving Ghanaian dancehall recording artiste, Shatta Wale, his three accomplices, and rapper Medikal after a plea from their lawyers.

The court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Marvin Essandoh has decided to grant the plea from the legal team (Lawyer / Attorney) of both musicians for the case to be moved forward adjourned the case to January 25th, 22.

Ghanaian dancehall star, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, aka Shatta Wale’s Lawyer Jerry Avenorgbo, pleaded with the court to adjourn the date in order for his client, Wale to attend some programs which he has been booked to perform at outside the country during the festive season.

Ghanaian Hip-Hop rapper, Samuel Frimpong, aka Medikal’s Attorney, Pobbi Banson, also pleaded with the court to adjourn proceedings of court to January 25th, 2022 to enable his client also embark on trips to perform at events during the Christmas festivities. Click To Read Full News Here.
