Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to face a federal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges beginning May 5, 2025, as determined by a U.S. judge on October 10.
The disgraced music mogul appeared in Manhattan federal court, where he was joined by family members, including his mother and six children.
Dressed in an all-tan prison outfit, the 54-year-old Combs smiled and waved at his family before hugging his legal team.
He pleaded not guilty to a three-count indictment on September 17, which alleges he used his extensive business empire, including his renowned record label Bad Boy Entertainment, to transport women and male sex workers across state lines for recorded sexual performances referred to as “Freak Offs.”
During the hearing, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian set the trial date, while prosecutor Emily Johnson indicated that the prosecution’s case is expected to last at least three weeks.

Combs’ defense attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated that the defense would likely take around one week.
Since his arrest, Combs has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with a pending appeal regarding a previous bail denial.
If convicted of the charges—racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for illegal acts—he faces a minimum sentence of 15 years, up to life in prison.
Prosecutors allege that Combs lured women using drugs like ketamine and ecstasy, as well as promises of financial support and career opportunities.
The indictment claims he utilized surreptitious recordings of sexual acts as “collateral” to silence the women and occasionally displayed weapons to intimidate victims and witnesses.
While the indictment does not accuse Combs of directly engaging in unwanted sexual contact, it does include allegations of physical assault against women.
