The 33-year-old was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia, which is characterized by an erratic heartbeat.

“Aguero has been treated to a diagnostic and treatment process by Dr Brugada,” Barcelona said in a statement on Monday.

“He is unavailable for selection, and the effectiveness of his treatment will be assessed over the following three months to determine his recovery process.”

Following a collision with Alaves centre-back Victor Laguardia on Saturday, Aguero began to have troubles.

Guero’s pulse rate was reported to be significantly higher than it should have been, and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

He’ll spend the next several days in the hospital, but he won’t be able to play football for at least three months.

Following the resignation of Ronald Koeman, Sergi Barjuan is serving as Barcelona’s temporary manager, and he recalled the incident in his post-match interview.

“I queried him, and he said he was dizzy,” stated Aguero’s Barjuan. “He was taken to the hospital, I was told. I’m at a loss for words.”
“Stay strong dear brother @aguerosergiokun, we’re all with you,” Aguero’s former Man City teammate Raheem Sterling tweeted shortly after the Argentine was rushed to the hospital. Get well as quickly as possible.
