Nigerian media personality, Shade Ladipo has criticized Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning singer, by calling him a clown and an opportunist.
This comes hours after Burna Boy recently shared his reasons for not being vocal about the 2023 elections, stating that he didn’t want to endorse any candidate who may eventually fail the people and lead to them blaming him.
He expressed his desire for credible elections where deserving candidates win.
Well, In response, Shade Ladipo accused Burna Boy of using the situation in the country and the continent to promote his music and called him out for not being a genuine pan-Africanist who understands the importance of the 2023 elections.
She also stated that voter participation does not necessarily involve supporting a specific candidate.
She wrote: “Your African ant is a clown. If you are a true pan Africanist as you claim with your music then you must understand the importance of these elections.
“Promoting voter participation doesn’t involve supporting any candidate.
“You are a clown and an opportunist who only uses Nigerian/African issues to promote your music.
“Fvcking fraud with fake dreads.”
