Ghanaian dancehall recording artiste, Shatta Wale comes out with an apology and also explains the reason behind his absence from Wendy Shay and Jupitar’s musical concert.

The multiple award-winning dancehall star born with his legal name Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, was scheduled to perform on Rufftown Record signed act, Wendy Shay’s Shay Concert held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the West Hills Mall, close to Kasoa.

He was also scheduled to perform at his fellow dancehall musician Jupitar’s ‘Loud in Korle Gonno’ at Dr. Bannerman Park in Korle Gonno on the same day (Jan. 7), but he skipped the two performances.

On Sunday, January 7, 2023, Wale posted on his official Twitter profile. He tagged both of his fellow performers Wendy and Jupitar, apologized for missing their concerts, and provided an explanation.

According to Shatta who had a lot of performances during the December festive season including his own concert dubbed ‘Freedom Wave’, he also performed at Afrochella, AMG Connect Concert, and First 2023 Concert at Berekum among others, he was not feeling well, he was on medication and had to listen to his Doctors.

Wale went on to applaud the two, Wendy Shay and Jupitar for holding it down and hosting a successful show.

Wale wrote; “Sorry I couldn’t pull up for my girl WendyShay and boy Jupitar, Chale I perform too much this December and the ting make I weak ruff ..Me too ano like eating But my Doctor gi mi some cure Ade on am .. kudos to dem all Chale .. 2 solid shows in 1nite”

Wendy Shay’s Shay Concert on Saturday garnered a lot of audiences, thousands of fans gathered out there to get thrilled, the show saw performances from Wendy, and from the likes of Joey B, Sista Afia, Ras Kuku, Kiki Marley, Eno Barony, many other top listed acts, and also with support from Kasoa artistes, including Addi Churchbwoy, KingNo, Famouz KB (Famouz fame) amongst others.
