Sid Eudy’s Cause Of Death
Sid Eudy passed away after battling cancer for several years.
Friends, fans, and colleagues of the later superstar, took to social media following the news to share their condolences and also mourn with the family some sharing their fun moments with him before his passing.
Sid’s wrestling career began in the late 1980s. Eudy was briefly a member of Ric Flair’s famed stable “The Four Hourseman” before joining WWE, then known as WWF, in 1991.
Eudy swiftly ascended to prominence in the company, including a notable performance in the 1992 Royal Rumble, which sparked a feud with Hulk Hogan.
After leaving the company briefly, Eudy returned in 1995 and developed his legendary “Sycho Sid” gimmick a year later. He won the WWE Championship for the first time at Survivor Series 1996, defeating Shawn Michaels.
Eudy would regain the championship again in 1997, defending it against The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 13, which The Undertaker won during his record-breaking WrestleMania streak. Eudy left WWE later that year.
Eudy also had stints with WCW, and in 2001, suffered a devastating leg injury that nearly ended his wrestling career. He made his last appearance with WWE in 2012.
