One of the most legendary artists in the game, Snoop Dogg, literally returns to his roots with the release of his 20th studio album, B.O.D.R. (Bacc On Death Row).
The multiple award-winning American rapper who is born with his legal name as Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr officially released his new 53 minutee 18-track project on February 11, 2022, off the record label ‘Death Row’, which he bought few days to the album release.
In a monumental week for the Entertainment Icon, this album comes off the heels of the announcement that Snoop Dogg has acquired the Death Row Records brand, in which he was a founding member and was his debut label.
“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” he said.
He again continued by saying “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me”.
B.O.D.R. is the first album through Death Row Records, now under Snoop Dogg’s ownership.
The album includes assists from other top-notch musicians in the likee of Nas, Wiz Khalifa, DaBaby, The Game, Nate Dogg, T.I., Sleepy Brown, Uncle Murda, E-Mo, October London, Nefertitti Avant, HeyDeon, and Jane Handcock.
“B.O.D.R. is especially important to me and I’m excited to have a full-circle moment in my career at this time,” according to Snoop.
“The album has all the classic Snoop Dogg style with surprises and features from some of the dopest artists out there.” Snoop added at the time of its release.
