Solskjaer names Ronaldo and Keane as the Manchester United legends he would sign

Manager for Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Roy Keane as the clubs’ legend he would love to sign if he gets the chance.

He made this known during a recent Q&A session with the press and fans.

The current manager for Man-United, Solskjaer during his plays days in Manchester United under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson played alongside former United captain Keane, the two were part Sir Alex Ferguson’s Treble-winning side back in 1999.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, also getting closer to end his career with Manchester was when had some playing time with Ronaldo, as that was the time he joined the team, and they won the Premier League title together in the Norwegian’s final campaign at Old Trafford.

During a Question and Answer (Q&A) session with the Manchester United fans, the manager for the club when asked to name a United legend he would love to sign in his team in present days answered by saying Keane and Ronaldo, he found it very hard to just pick one out of the two.

He also added that there are a few players he has played with and he would love to have them in their team.

‘I’d love the player Roy Keane, I’m not sure if I could manage him though. I’d sign him every day of the week, Roy was so influential but then again, I played with Cristiano and he’s been the best player in the world alongside [Lionel] Messi for the past 10 to 15 years now, so Cristiano” he said.

Solskjaer and Keane

After naming Ronaldo and Keane, Solskjaer also named Mason Greenwood, saying he is the current United squad member who really resembles him a lot as a player, including the attitude, and the technical aspect.

He added that Mason happens to be one of the players who really reminds him about himself the most as a finisher and a goal scorer.

‘There’s so many things, it depends if it’s the mentality, the attitude, the technical, the technical attributes. ‘I’d like to think Mason is the one who reminds me about myself the most as a finisher, a goalscorer. said Solskjaer

He again said that he would love it if a competition could be held between himself and Mason so they get to know who will come out as the most accurate finisher.

‘We should’ve had a competition me and him to see who’s the most accurate finisher.’ he added.
