British band Squeeze canceled their scheduled concert at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Virginia following a fatal accident involving a tour bus at the venue.
The venue called off the performance after an individual was crushed to death by a tour bus in the parking area. Venue administrators confirmed that the tragic incident involved a member of the local community.
”There was an accident involving a member of the community at Wolf Trap National Park today, tragically resulting in a loss of life,” Wolf Trap announced in a statement posted to social media. “Out of respect, tonight’s show has been canceled.”
Wolf Trap, located near Washington, D.C., operates as a prominent venue hosting various musical and cultural performances. Following the cancellation of the Squeeze event, the National Symphony Orchestra remains scheduled to perform its “Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration” as the next slated event at the park.
The British group is currently traveling across the United States for an ongoing tour. Squeeze released their latest album, Trixies, in March. The tour itinerary includes upcoming concert stops at the Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, Ohio, followed by a performance in Highland Park, Illinois.
