Halloween costumes designed reflecting the Netflix hit movie, “Squid Game” are fast becoming popular but can’t get more attention as some Yew York schools are not allowing it into their schools.
The reason why some schools are not allowing the costumes to be used in schools by their students is based on the movie’s violent message which they think is not good enough for the kids.
The principals at the Syracuse-area Fayetteville-Manlius schools sent an email to parents, telling them about how students have been playing a version of the Korean Netflix series.

According to the letter, the principals noted that due to the potential violent nature of the movie ‘game’, they do not want it to be a play or topic for discussion at school.
“Due to concerns about the potentially violent nature of the game, it is inappropriate for recess play or discussion at school,” the letter sent to Mott Road Elementary School parents reportedly said.
“Additionally, a Halloween costume from this show does not meet our school costume guidelines due to the potential violent message aligned with the costume.” the letter added.
They also added that the costumes do not meet their school guidelines and also they do not want school kids even seen with any item that can be interpreted as weapons at school.
“No items that can be interpreted as weapons should be brought to schools, such as toy swords or guns, and that costumes should not be too gory or scary so as not to scare our younger students,” he reportedly said.
Well, some parents after receiving the letter from the school authorities were not happy at all as some argued that it is just costumes and nothing bad, some also advised that what should rather be done by parents are to not allow their kids watch the movie but disagreed with the authority’s decision not to allow the costume into their schools.
