Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have donated $26 million to at least 20 charitable organizations across the United States, according to a representative, as reports continue to build around a wedding celebration expected to take place in New York this weekend.
The couple has not publicly confirmed plans to marry. The announcement about the donations also avoids mentioning a wedding. Still, the timing of the gifts has fueled speculation that the charitable effort is tied to the celebrations taking place this week.
The statement released on behalf of the pair reads: “This week, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated $26 million to charities across the United States. They include the following…”
The donations were distributed across several causes. Nine organizations focus on fighting hunger through local and national food banks. The list also includes an animal welfare charity, seven education-focused programs, and three children’s hospitals.
Among the food assistance groups receiving support are City Harvest in New York City, Food Bank For NYC, New York Cares, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Harvesters – The Community Food Network in Kansas City, The Store in Nashville, Helping Harvest in Reading, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and Feeding America.
Animal welfare efforts were represented by the ASPCA, while education organizations included Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Grammy In The Schools, Education Through Music, Answer The Call, Musical Mentors, After-School All-Stars in New York, and After-School All-Stars in Cleveland.
Three pediatric healthcare programs also received donations: MSK Kids at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Large charitable gifts are not unusual for Swift. During her record-breaking Eras Tour, food banks in multiple cities publicly announced receiving donations as the tour traveled across North America and internationally. Many of those contributions became public through the organizations rather than through Swift herself.
Her previous philanthropic work has supported animal rescue groups, disaster recovery following hurricanes in Florida and tornadoes in Tennessee, Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts, hunger relief organizations, the American Heart Association, children’s hospitals, and individual fans facing cancer diagnoses.
Wedding reports have continued despite the lack of official confirmation from Swift’s representatives. Officials and workers involved with preparations have reportedly confirmed activity at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Current plans indicate a rehearsal dinner will be held Thursday in one of the venue’s smaller auditoriums, followed by a larger celebration in the main arena on Friday.
