A former teacher accused of making teenagers as young as 13 wear “Scream” masks while they had group sex with her is now facing additional charges that could lead to a life sentence. Brittany Fortinberry, 31, is now charged with 24 more felony offenses.

The accusations stem from incidents at two Morgan County schools, where Fortinberry reportedly groomed multiple victims. Initially charged with crimes involving three boys, the list of alleged victims has now risen to six, with more evidence surfacing.

Prosecutors revealed that the new charges include five counts of Level 1 child molestation, each carrying a potential prison sentence of 20 to 40 years. This brings her total charges to 29, covering rape, sexual exploitation, child molestation, and contributing to the delinquency of minors.

Authorities claim she supplied her victims with drugs and alcohol to manipulate them into compliance. She also allegedly threatened self-harm if they spoke out, further deepening the trauma inflicted on the victims.

Nicholas Fortinberry, her husband, is now facing legal consequences as well, he has been charged with intimidation and failing to report a crime. Investigators allege he knew about the abuse and actively threatened the victims to ensure their silence. One victim told police he was warned that if he spoke out, Nicholas would “slaughter” him in front of his family.

Court documents reveal shocking allegations, including claims that Fortinberry fantasized about intimate encounters with minors and sent inappropriate videos to one victim. One boy said she performed explicit acts involving his personal belongings.

Another victim alleged that Fortinberry manipulated them with gifts and tampered with their food by adding drugs. Several victims have since come forward, with one stating that he wanted to prevent her from harming more children.

Fortinberry is currently being held without bond, with her jury trial scheduled for June 25 in Morgan Superior Court. The former teacher resigned from her position the day after the first allegations surfaced.

The Eminence Community School Corporation confirmed that she was suspended pending investigation. They emphasized their commitment to student safety and vowed to cooperate fully with law enforcement.
