After a long five-year break from the music scene, Tero Boss, formerly known as Fostero, is making a grand return with his highly anticipated new single, Awake.
Slated for release on Friday, October 11, 2024, Awake marks the beginning of a new chapter for the artist, who has not only rebranded (his name & looks) but also evolved his sound as he goes all versatile.
Born with his legal name Foster Gozah, Tero took a solid 5-year hiatus from releasing new projects into rather building up and preparing himself for this very moment as he returns not only as an artist/songwriter but also gears up as a top-notch entertainer.
Knew back then as Fostero, he has worked with artists including Yaa Pono (Ponobiom) on his ‘iPhone Girl‘ release as well as other acts, he also featured on Brainy Beatz’s Migraine Riddim for ‘Lecture,’ and had songs including ‘Mama Pray 4 Me,’ ‘One Day’ among others.
His ‘Mama Pray 4 Me‘ song was Recorded on Damage Musiq’s “Conquest Paradise Riddim” Instrumentation, a riddim used by well-recognised artists including, Blessings by Tommy Lee, Heavy Load by Shatta Wale, Tamo J, Singer J, Shane O, Gott Yo and Chronic Law plus other dancehall acts used this very beat.
Tero Boss’s upcoming single, Awake will be serving as the singer’s first single, a direct follow-up to his previously released 5-year single, ‘Ose Wo’ Rap K Jay.
Awake is a blend of Afrobeat, and Drill is a motivational song that saw Tero send out inspirational vibes to the youth to work hard, keep grinding, and never give up on their dreams.
In the song, he tells the youth not to be lazy but rather to soldier up and explore more options for their survivor after referencing the struggles he also went through at a point.
Announcing the release date, he also shared on his socials the official artwork for the impending song with production credit going to Jordan Beatz.
