Texas Couple Charged After Allegedly Shooting Father of Teen Daughter’s Boyfriend Over Dating Dispute

A Texas couple has been arrested after allegedly shooting the father of their son’s teenage girlfriend during an argument over their children’s relationship.

Luther Madison II, 39, and his wife Angelica Madison, also 39, were charged with aggravated assault after the altercation on March 17, 2025.

According to Harris County Constable Mark Herman, the incident occurred when the two sets of parents met to discuss their teenage children’s dating situation.

The father of the girlfriend expressed concerns, saying that his daughter was “too young” to be dating.

Police were called to the scene in the 24400 block of Osprey Point Drive after reports of a physical altercation and gunfire. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim stated that he and his wife had approached the Madisons to ask for help in keeping their son away from their daughter, fearing she was too young for the relationship.

A fight between the two men broke out during the discussion, and at some point, Angelica Madison allegedly removed a gun from her pocket and handed it to her husband.

Luther Madison then reportedly shot the victim. He also allegedly pointed the weapon at the victim’s wife, threatening her before fleeing the scene.

The victim was airlifted to the hospital, though his condition remains unknown. The Madisons were arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Luther’s bond was set at $100,000, while Angelica’s bond was set at $25,000. Both are scheduled to appear in court on May 20, 2025.
