The horrific series of events took place over 11 hours on Thanksgiving Day 2020, when McDonnell and his accomplices, including his brother Shawn McDonnell, 34, and his then-wife Kayleigh Lewis, 29, embarked on a violent rampage.

The trio’s first target was Kevin Mendiola Jr., a 22-year-old man who was shot and killed at a convenience store in Henderson, Nevada.

The violence eventually led to a dramatic car crash near Parker, Arizona, after a high-speed chase involving the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

During the pursuit, Shawn McDonnell was wounded by officers, and the group was arrested. Prosecutors revealed that Lewis, who was driving, and the McDonnell brothers fired indiscriminately from the vehicle.

While Shawn McDonnell and Lewis still await trial, Christopher McDonnell was sentenced to a minimum of 100 years in prison, with the possibility of parole only after 2120, assuming he is still alive.
