According to the seasoned musician from Ghana, President Jerry John Rawlings was also present at the time.

Ambolley said that he had the chance to talk to Michael Jackson at that event in an interview that GhanaWeb heard him do on Okay FM with Abeiku Santana.

“I played with musicians like Michael Jackson, James Brown, and other top artists at an American event called Apallo.” I made a commitment to give it my all at that point because I knew that the stars who were scheduled to appear would.

“When JJ Rawlings arrived in the US, I got to meet Michael Jackson. Michael Hayes, Stevie Wonder, and the rest were seated at the same table as us. It was an amazing time,” he remarked.

The host of the show asked him to address the public about how his time in the US affected his music career, and he did so.
