Thibaut Courtois’ ex-lover, Elsa Izac, has shared her fears that she and their young son may soon be homeless due to severe financial troubles.
Elsa, a former Versace designer, claims she owes £63,000 in mortgage payments on her £3 million property, which is reportedly deteriorating with mold infestations.
Elsa, 50, and Courtois share a seven-year-old son, Enzo, after their alleged affair while Courtois played for Chelsea. At the time, Courtois was in a relationship with his then-girlfriend, Marta Dominguez.
Elsa, who was married at the time, reportedly met Courtois when she lived next door to him in Wimbledon.
Their relationship was said to have involved trysts before matches, with reports in 2019 further detailing their secretive encounters in the Chelsea team hotel.
In a heartfelt interview with The Sun, Elsa described the difficult living conditions in her home, stating that “our house is falling apart” and expressing deep anxiety about the possibility of the bank repossessing the property.

She revealed that she constantly worries about a knock at the door that could change her life forever.
“I’m scared the bank will repossess our home and worry whenever someone knocks on the door. I don’t want to find us homeless suddenly,” Elsa explained.
The former designer voiced frustration over Courtois’ lavish lifestyle, citing his travels on private jets and parties on yachts, all while leaving his son to live in poor conditions.
She questioned why he couldn’t provide more financial support to ensure his child’s well-being.
While Courtois married Israeli model Mishel Gerzig in June 2023 and has two children from his previous relationship with Marta, Elsa’s friend claimed that the footballer has refused to publicly acknowledge Enzo as his son.
The friend also revealed that Courtois has never sent Enzo a birthday or Christmas card, nor shown any concern for his welfare.
Elsa’s comments shed light on her difficult situation, where she feels abandoned both financially and emotionally. Despite Courtois’ high-profile career, the reality for her and their son remains harsh.
