Another teenager, making it the third teen has been arrested in connection to ISIS-inspired terror attack on Taylor Swift’s Veinna Eras tour concert.
This comes just a few days after the event’s organizers chose the proper course of action by canceling Taylor Swift‘s Vienna-Eras Tour Concert in response to information received concerning terrorist activities intended to destroy the event.
On Friday, Austria’s interior minister stated that an 18-year-old Iraqi national had been arrested in connection with an investigation into a suspected ISIS-inspired plot to target the Vienna event.
The Iraqi youth is the third person arrested, and he is accused of having ties to the primary suspect, a 19-year-old Austrian with North Macedonian ancestry. Both teens have lately pledged allegiance to ISIS.

The ministry stated, “A planned attack on a concert event was successfully thwarted thanks to the timely intervention of the authorities. This success was made possible through extensive investigations targeting not only the main suspects but also their surrounding network.”
Authorities are taking firm action against anyone involved in terrorist activities or exhibiting radical tendencies. While the Iraqi teenager is “not currently linked directly to the planned attack,” he was arrested under the broad scope of the ongoing investigation.
The two key suspects, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old, are currently in pre-trial prison. Both demonstrated substantial behavioral changes prior to their incarceration. The 19-year-old quit his employment on July 25, signaling that he had “something big planned” and meant to detonate a device at the music site, according to Franz Ruf, Austria’s director general of public security.

Authorities discovered explosive devices, detonators, significant ISIS propaganda literature, 21,000 euros in counterfeit money, machetes, knives, and anabolic steroids at the 19-year-old’s house. The 17-year-old recently ended his relationship with his girlfriend. A 15-year-old was also seized and questioned, but he has since been released.
Vienna was planned to be the penultimate stop of Swift’s European Eras tour, with performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Following Vienna, Swift was scheduled to perform five nights at London’s Wembley Stadium before heading to Canada for the tour’s final dates in November and December.
Austrian authorities estimated approximately 65,000 people to attend each of Swift’s Vienna gigs, with up to 20,000 admirers outside the stadium. Many admirers who had come from all over the continent and the world to attend the events were saddened by the cancellation.
