A new era at Stamford Bridge begins after the takeover by the consortium led by U.S. billionaire Todd Boehly was approved by the Premier League and the UK government.

Todd Boehly and Thomas Tuchel want to rebuild and recruit quality players after loosing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen due to the sanctions placed upon Roman Abramovich in March.

According to reports from the sun, Jules Kounde is desperate to move to the Premier League, and believes he would be first choice in the Blue’s backline with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen out of contract.

Todd Boehly and his club could also lose Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta in the coming months with both players linked with a move away from the Premier league.

Chelsea will now be left with an experienced head Thiago Silva alongside youngsters like Trevoh Chalobah.

The LaLiga side who qualified for the Champions League are under no intense pressure to sell any of their top players. However, the club will only let the French defender leave for £68m release clause in his contract.

Sporting director Monchi accepts that centre defender needs to take on a fresh challenge and also planning for both parties to meet.

Todd Boehly and his team are already behind their Premier League rivals in strengthening their squad for the 2022/23 campaign.

The 48-year-old Thomas Tuchel knows the scale of the rebuild required at Chelsea when the summer transfer market begins.

Tuchel said on Sunday “We have to be fast and smart”. “We have a huge disadvantage – but it’s not decisive yet, There is no need to make excuses, it is just the situation we are in, and we have to be as quick as possible” He added.

We have clear ideas for the profiles and characteristics of these players. But it’s not like we put a name on the list, and then we get the player“.

We have to convince the player, speak to their clubs, and convince ourselves this is the player [we need]. So there is normally a lot of work, and it will be the same to be competitive next season.”
