Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is set to receive the British Film Institute’s highest accolade, the BFI Fellowship. The prestigious honor acknowledges his exceptional achievements as a versatile actor and his profound impact on the UK film industry.

Cruise, who is currently in the UK filming an untitled project directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu for Warner Bros. and Legendary, has played an important role in British cinema. His work spans multiple decades, with several major productions shot across the country.

The BFI emphasized that Cruise’s unwavering support for the cinematic experience was also a key reason for the award. The actor has consistently encouraged audiences to watch films on the big screen, while his movies have generated significant box office revenue worldwide.

Expressing his gratitude, Cruise shared his appreciation for the recognition, stating, “I am truly honored by this acknowledgment. I’ve been making films in the UK for over 40 years and have no plans to stop. The UK is home to incredibly talented professionals—actors, directors, writers, and crews, as well as some of the most stunning locations in the world. Notably, he sustained an ankle injury while filming “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” in London.
