In a new development, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has threatened Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg with life in prison if he finds Meta engaged in any form of misconduct during the upcoming November presidential elections.
Trump’s harsh comment comes amid his repeated charges that Zuckerberg influenced the 2020 presidential elections in favor of President Joe Biden, which he has not supported with evidence.
Trump’s claims against Zuckerberg go back to the 2020 election cycle. He claims that the Meta CEO played a substantial influence in swinging the election in favor of Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee who went on to win the presidency. However, Trump has not presented tangible evidence to back up his allegations of interference by Zuckerberg or his corporation.
In the upcoming book, Save America, which will be released on September 3, Trump reaffirms his allegations and promises harsh penalties if Zuckerberg or Meta participate in any type of improper conduct during the 2024 presidential elections.

“We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison — as will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Trump wrote, according to excerpts obtained by Politico.
Trump’s book, published by Winning Team Publishing, is priced at $99 for an unsigned copy. A signed version will be available for an additional $400.
The book reportedly contains a picture of Zuckerberg visiting the White House during Trump’s presidency, which is captioned, “Zuckerberg would come to the Oval Office to see me,” as noted by The Independent.

The image is further accompanied by a caption stating, “He would bring his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting to install shameful Lock Boxes in a true PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT.” This reflects Trump’s ongoing grievances about Zuckerberg’s perceived involvement in what he calls a “plot against the President.”
Mark Zuckerberg has responded to Trump’s charges with a defensive state of mind. In a letter to Jim Jordan, chairman of the US House of Representatives Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg stated that in 2021, high officials from the Biden administration “repeatedly pressured” Meta to suppress specific COVID-19-related information.
He emphasized that the pressure included calls for the removal of content containing humor and satire, which Meta frequently declined to comply with, causing dissatisfaction among White House officials.
As the 2024 presidential election approaches in the United States, the political situation is becoming more hostile.
Donald Trump is scheduled to face Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 5 election, following President Joe Biden’s decision to step down due to rising pressure from his party. This development adds another degree of difficulty to what looks to be a heated election.
