UPDATE: It seems possible that the launch was performed prematurely. Twitter product lead Esther Crawford tweeted that although the new Twitter Blue plan isn’t officially live, some users are already receiving notifications as part of a live test.
Just as announced by the new owner, Elon Musk few days ago, Twitter, has finally rolled out $8 verification service.
The $8 verification service is only available to ios (iPhone) users in some specific regions at the moment.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Twitter’s new owner, have both promised that the new subscription service will reduce spam on the network. This has been widely reported on over the previous few weeks. According to reports, all Twitter users will eventually have access to the edit button, which was previously only available to Twitter Blue’s paying customers.
Regions For $8 Verification for iPhone user
Just as stated, above, the Twitter Blue with verification is available on iOS to users in some regions and they are; US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
In the latest update on the Twitter app in iPhones, the microblogging website said, “Starting today, we’re adding great new features to Twitter Blue, and have more on the way soon. Get Twitter Blue for $7.99/month if you sign up now.”
“Blue checkmark: Power to the people. Your account will get a blue checkmark, just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you already follow.
“Coming soon… Half the ads and much better ones. Since you’re supporting Twitter in the battle against the bots, we’re going to reward you with half the ads and make them twice as relevant.
“Post longer videos: You’ll finally be able to post longer videos to Twitter. Priority ranking for quality content: Your content will get priority ranking in replies, mentions and search. This helps lower the visibility of scams, spam, and bots,” twitter said.
