Conor McGregor has reportedly left Ireland for Dubai following a devastating court ruling that found him guilty of sexual assault.
The former UFC champion, along with his partner Dee Devlin and their children, is said to have taken an extended trip to the Gulf after the high-profile civil lawsuit verdict in November.
McGregor’s departure comes after Nikita Hand won her case against the fighter in a Dublin High Court. Hand, a hair colorist, accused McGregor of raping her in a hotel room.
While McGregor has vowed to appeal the ruling, the aftermath of the case has caused a massive fallout, both legally and commercially.
Informed sources say that McGregor is likely staying in Dubai until the public backlash against him calms down. Since the trial’s conclusion, McGregor has faced intense criticism, particularly in Ireland, where his brand has taken a severe hit.
