Popular Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Wizkid has disclosed in a recent interview that he is not a big fan of awards.

Speaking on the new episode of “No Filter With Naomi” show hosted by Naomi Campbell, the he stated that awards do not define who a great artiste is.

Wizkid was on the show to talk about his newly released album dubbed “Made In Lagos”, his music career and also his life.

He said that and also added on that awards are schemes and shows organised by a company which is given out to people and that he is not a fan of awards.

“I am not a big fan of awards, i have been very vocal about it. It doesn’t define who you are, it doesn’t define your substance. It doesn’t define how amazing you are at the end of the day.” – he said.

Wizkid who says he is not moved by awards told Naomi that as long as his music touches the right people and makes them feel the right way then he is very okay with that, and that is his award, to make people feel the right way.
