Award-winning Ghanaian music producer and Lynx Entertainment boss, Richie Mensah has finally reacted to rumours claiming his signed artiste, Kuami Eugene is about to exit his camp.

The ‘Angela’ hitmaker has been in the news recently following reports that he is having some issues with his record label the Lynx Entertainment label and with that he is planning to leave.

The rumours started when A Plus, a political activist and veteran musician, came out with his talks saying he has a source who confirmed to him Kuami is leaving, aside from that media personnel, Ruthy also made a similar statement about Kuami leaving Lynx before the year 2022 comes to an end.

Richie Mensah has finally reacted to the rumours and has pleaded with the Ghanaian media to rather focus on the positive side rather than the negative sides which will in turn spoil the reputation of the artiste, as he described the spreading rumours as baseless.

Richie’s reaction in a recent 3FM interview comes hours after Kuami took to social media where he made a post where he indicated how dissatisfied he is and said that, given the current state of affairs, he will have no other option but to leave because he has tried his best to stay but all to no avail.

Kuami wrote;

“I try saa say I go stay, buh chaley I for leff. Suro Nipa 😔”.

According to Richie when asked if he has heard the rumours for the first time said he did but he decided not to respond because he didn’t want to keep an irrelevant story which will be twisted in another way continued.

”I think sometimes the media shouldn’t give attention to every story. That’s why I don’t say anything because what you do is you are now fanning unnecessary fires. Because whatever I’m saying right now is going to be written about. A story which isn’t even relevant is going to be continued.

“So now, instead of the headlines being about how Kuami Eugene and KiDi are doing in Europe, right now. It’s going to be about what Richie said about what A-Plus said, about what he heard from someone somewhere.”

He went on with a word of caution to the public and the media asking that they rather need to guard the industry and make sure when people outside look up Kuami Eugene online since they are currently touring Europe they won’t find negative posts about him but instead how good their tour is.

“I think as media and industry professionals, we need to guard the industry. The people in Australia, who are waiting for Kuami Eugene to come and play a show there, will google and not see how good the show is and rather be reading this,” Richie continued. “We need to dismiss certain things. That Kuami Eugene is going to leave Lynx. If he leaves Lynx, everyone will know.” he added.
