American actor, Vin Diesel, is facing a legal battle as his former assistant, Asta Jonasson, has taken him to court, alleging s3xual battery dating back to 2010.

According to documents obtained by Variety, Jonasson claimed that the distressing incident occurred during her time working for Diesel on the set of “Fast Five” in Atlanta.

She asserted that Diesel invited her to his suite at the Regis Hotel and forcibly placed her in his bed. When she attempted to leave, Jonasson alleged that Diesel compelled her back into the room, pinned her against the wall, and groped her despite her repeated pleas for him to stop.

The assault reportedly escalated when Diesel allegedly coerced her into touching him intima-tely. Feeling trapped, Jonasson described closing her eyes out of fear of provoking Diesel by rejecting him, attempting to disconnect from the situation, and hoping the assault would cease.

In addition to the allegations of s3xual battery, Jonasson is also suing for unlawful termination, claiming she was fired by Diesel’s company just hours after the incident. The legal filing stated that Jonasson believed her termination was a consequence of resisting Diesel’s advances and that she felt discarded and demeaned.

The filing read in part, “It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful — Vin Diesel had used her to fulfil his s3xual desires and she had resisted his s3xual assaults.

“Ms. Jonasson felt like she was a piece of trash to be discarded. Ms. Jonasson felt helpless, her self-esteem was demolished, and she questioned her skills and whether a successful career would require her to trade her body for advancement.”

The lawsuit, filed in California under the state’s S3xual Abuse and Cover-Up Accountability Act enacted in 2022, provides a one-year window for survivors of s3xual assault to file suits, even if the cases have surpassed the statute of limitations. This legislation has been used in New York to bring suits against various celebrities and politicians, including Donald Trump, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Jamie Foxx.
