Fully Funded Vodacom Bursary Programme 2025 for Young South African Students

Applications are now open for the 2025 Vodacom Bursary Programme.

This prestigious academic Merit Bursary is available to full-time first-year, second-year, or third-year students aiming to study or currently studying in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

Many students may lack the essential resources to pursue their studies further; this bursary seeks to bridge that gap.

Programme Requirements

  • South African Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens by birth.
  • Full-time Studies: You must undertake full-time undergraduate studies at a South African tertiary institution.
  • Grade 12 Performance: A pass in Grade 12 with exemption, achieving 70% or higher across all subjects.
  • Tertiary Academic Performance: If already in tertiary education, a minimum of 65% average or higher is required.
  • Eligibility for Current Students: Current students from the first year upwards at accredited South African tertiary institutions who meet all the above criteria are eligible to apply.

Key Offerings

  • Accommodation: Full university accommodation or a capped amount for private accommodation.
  • Financial Support: Coverage of full registration and tuition fees.
  • Textbook Allocation: Provision for required textbooks.
  • Meal Allowance: An allowance to cover meals.

  • Orientation Workshop: An introductory workshop for all new students accepted into the programme.

Application Procedure

  1. Eligibility Check: Ensure that you meet all the specified criteria before applying.

Deadline: Applications for the 2025 intake will close on 31 August 2024.
