Mzvee, a former artist signed to LYNX Entertainment, finally reveals why she left the record company.

The vocalist in a recent interview with Joy News stated that she quit the label because she developed depression along the course and that she was exhausted from thinking back on her origins and her exposure to the outside world.

She said;

“The switch from being who I was in my small home and coming into this big world of show business was draining. So it got to a time, I was just tired.

“Growing up, I was very timid and kept things to myself. I was afraid. So if someone did something to me, I kept it to myself. So I think it was issues stemming from a long period,”

As I grew up, I came to understand certain things that happened when I was younger It just drained me. At one point, I just went into this deep dark place. I left my record label. I unfollowed so many people on social media. It was a very difficult time.”

Mzvee who is born with her real name  Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda is out with her newly released 10-tracks album “10-Thirty”

Just as promised, the album finally released to music distribution/streaming platforms for public consumption on Friday, June 24, 2022.

Mzvee’s 10 Thirty about is to commemorate her 10 Years in the Ghanaian music industry, celebrating ten years of showering the music world with gorgeous records and visuals.

It also features artistes from Ghana, Nigeria as well as Tanzania.

From Ghana it saw collaboration from Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, and Kwesi Arthur, also in Nigeria Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Dj Henry X, Bella Shmurda contributed, while Harmonize from Tanzania also featured.

Production credit for the songs on the 1030 project goes to Kizzy Beat and also to VTEK, Willis Beat, and Joshua Moszi for mixing and mastering.
