Will Smith drops emotional apology video for Chris Rock slap ‘My behavior was unacceptable’

American actor, rapper, and producer shares with the world a new video of himself as he goes all emotional and renders another apology to his colleague, Chris Rock for slapping him at the Oscars.

In the evening of March 27, 2022, on the Oscar stage, Will Smith made headlines after slapping Chris Rock, a colleague, for making remarks about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith that he was not pleased with.

Smith admitted he was “fogged out” in the moments following the slap and that is why he didn’t apologize to the comedian in his acceptance speech after he won Best Actor for his role in “King Richard” on that now-famous night of March 27, 2022.

The actor who stated that his behaviour on the night towards Chris was unacceptable in the video apologized to Chris Rock once again, he disclosed that he has been trying to reach him Rock but his attempts were not a fruitful one because he got a feedback telling him he wasnt ready to talk, and that he will reach back when he is ready.

Additionally, Will Smith apologized to Chris’ mother, his family, the fans who supported him by voting for him to win the awards, the people who looks up to him whom he let down, and the awards organizers.

“I reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk but when he is, he will reach out,” Smith said in the video. “I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. my behavior was unacceptable, and i’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

“That was one of the things about that moment that I didn’t realize,” Smith continued. “I wasn’t thinking about how many people got hurt in that moment. I want to apologize to Chris’ mother, to Chris’ family, especially his brother Tony Rock.”
