American actor, rapper, and film producer, Will Smith Responds the the decision taken by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences to ban him from all Oscars events for 10 years.
Not long ago we published a news article in regards to the decision taken by the Academy board at a meeting held on Friday, April 8, 2022, and announced that the outcome of their meeting was to ban the American actor from all of the Academy’s event including awards for a period of 10 years which starts today, Friday, April 8, 2022.

Will Smith Responds To Academy’s 10-year Ban
This came about after the American actor who is born with his legal name as Willard Carroll Smith II took to the Oscars stage to slap awards presenter, Chris Rock for disrespecting his wife over a joke he made.
In the Academy’s statement they said; “Today, the Board of Governors convened a meeting to discuss how best to respond to Will Smith’s actions at the Oscars, in addition to accepting his resignation. The Board has decided, for a period of 10 years from April 8, 2022, Mr. Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programs, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards”.
Minutes after the news of him being banned from the Academy’s events/platforms came out, Smith has dropped his reactions.
According to the rapper cum actor he respects the decision taken by the Academy board, he made this known in a statement released exclusively to Pagesix.
“I accept and respect the Academy’s decision” Smith said.
Prior to the Academy boards’ decision, Will Smith after slapping Chris Rock on stage later apologized to Chris, the Accademy board, fellow award nominees as well as audiences across the world for his action, and later on announced his resignation from the Academy.
