WWE Raw advertised the return of MizTV with special guests Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, Reginald vs. Shayna Baszler, AJ Styles and Omos vs. Elias and Jaxson Ryker and a match between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston with the winner becoming No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship.

WWE Raw viewership was down last week with stiff competition from the NBA playoffs as Raw garnered 1.619 million viewers.

The Miz admitted to being injured without disclosing what that injury was, and thankfully he was scripted to stop just short of “I was mauled by zombies.”

John Morrison’s garlic material wasn’t anything special, but his performance elevated that material to being almost hilarious.

Charlotte claimed she could beat Nikki Cross in one minute, and proceeded to face Cross in a two-minute Beat the Clock Challenge, which she still ultimately failed.

Nikki Cross is quickly becoming the best WWE Superstar in two minutes or less.

The standards of the Raw Women’s Championship has now sunk to where in order to receive a title shot you have to last a combined four minutes against two top contenders without losing.

Randy Orton def. Xavier Woods

Riddle was so great in the Spanish segment with Damian Priest. He’s really starting to cook with this character.

Riddle was happier to see Randy Orton do his finisher than he was when he won the United States Championship.

By this point of the night, Jimmy Smith was vastly overachieving as lead announcer for WWE Raw.

Reginald def. Shayna Baszler

Reginald might be the first WWE Superstar in history to work a match in kneepads and Chelsea boots.

Shayna Baszler losing to Reginald ahead of a likely feud against Alexa Bliss just might be the lowest moment of her career.

T-Bar and Mace def. Lucha House Party

Jimmy Smith on Lucha House Party: “Ring ropes are like sidewalks to these guys!”

T-Bar and Mace feel closer to The Ascension than The Legion of Doom.

T-Bar and Mace appear to be getting a push, and I’m only excited about it because Jimmy Smith seems to be pretty fired up about it.

Ricochet def. Sheamus; Huberto Carrillo def. Sheamus

As United States champion, Sheamus has spent weeks winning meaningless, non-title matches but at least they were building him up as a credible champion. This week, he lost back-to-back meaningless, non-title matches so now Sheamus—and that championship—are back to Square 1.

Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose def. Naomi and Lana

WWE refuses to stop talking up the narrative of Tamina waiting her whole career to become a champion. This week, they even told you the exact amount of days she waited.

Mandy Rose had one of the worst O’Connor Rolls you’ll ever see in what was easily the worst match of the night to this point.

Cedric Alexander def. Shelton Benjamin

Cedric Alexander got a very quick victory in what finally feels like advancement for his character.

The louder and more unhinged Cedric Alexander is in his promos and mannerisms, the better a heel that will make him. The trick is the announcers need to play up how obnoxious he is without making him sound like a joke.

AJ Styles and Omos def. Elias and Jaxson Ryker

Ryker asked Jaxson Ryker if he’s ever been in battle, which shows how bad his listening skills are because that’s all WWE tells you about Ryker.

Just when it seemed like Ryker was going to get a push, he was left for dead by Elias and form that point on this match turned into a showcase for AJ Styles and Omos.

Though his ring gear continues to be terrible, Omos seems to have put on more muscle in recent weeks.

Shayna Baszler Destroys Reginald on Alexa’s Playground

The decorative green grass makes you forget that Alexa’s Playground takes place in a wrestling ring, so when Reginald took a bump on it, it looked like it hurt far more than it actually did.

Bliss will be yet another supernatural feud between two top stars acting like heels, just like Orton vs. Fiend.

Drew McIntyre def. Kofi Kingston-Winner Becomes

No. 1 Contender
At one point, this match cut to Bobby Lashley watching from the back while MVP and Lashley’s ladies danced in a room with no music.

The way Drew McIntyre sold the Trouble in Paradise by stumbling and finally falling looked so realistic.

Though the Young Bucks wrestled a better match in their Jordans, Kofi Kingston looked better in his.

This match saw a very cool-looking finish when Drew McIntyre hit the Claymore Kick on a midair Kofi Kingston.
